They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but nobody told me I wasn't supposed to be teaching the scientists!

I might look like a polished professional red border collie, but looks can be deceiving!  My story started as a tiny, sickly rescue pup in rural Alabama. I’m a proud Heinz 57 mix proving that you don't need a fancy pedigree to have a world-class brain.

Why all the fuss?

Apparently, I’m a bit of a "rarity." I am one of fewer than 50 "Genius Word Learning Dogs" identified in the entire world. While most dogs are busy chasing squirrels,

 I’ve been:

    •    Building a Vocabulary: I know the names of over 300 toys.

    •    Listening In: I don’t need "training"— I learn new words just by

eavesdropping on human conversations, or through play,  just like a toddler!

    •    Changing Science: From the Genius Dog Challenge to the pages of Forbes,

and in the news as well as science journals, I’m helping humans

understanding how dogs really think —

And why a small group of us are MENSA level canines.

I’m more than just a data point — I’m a rescue success story. Whether I'm helping researchers or hunting for my favorite squeaky toy,  I’m here to show the world that brilliance can be found in the most unexpected places!
